MCA Meeting Recap: June 2021
June’s monthly MCA meeting largely covered issues of racial profiling, which Central Park United Neighbors (CPUN) and the MCA will address with official statements in the coming days. As part of the discussion, several delegates and board members expressed their first-hand experiences with bigotry and racism, and it was widely agreed among all present that such behavior has no place in our neighborhood, a community designed for all people without exception.
Swimming Pool Hours
If you are looking to extend your pool time be sure to look into all the pools within Central Park as hours vary throughout the community. Each pool, like each neighborhood, has unique amenities, e.g., lap lanes, water slides, etc.
Firework Enforcement
As reported by Denver Police Department (DPD) Officer, Kiarra Jenkins, “firework enforcement is on, and the DPD is staffing officers citywide starting Friday June 25th through Monday July 5th to respond to fireworks complaints. If you would like to report the illegal use or possession of fireworks, you can do so by calling (720) 913-2059 or reporting the incident(s) online at denvergov.org/pocketgov. Please be mindful that if you call to report fireworks, a complainant is needed in order for officers to issue a citation, so please remain available so that officers can contact you to obtain your signature. Note: if your fireworks complaint involves a fire, an injury requiring medical attention, or an altercation, please call or text 911.”
